Despite torrential rain for most of the day, WCM still mustered a 16 car display for the Great Western Mini Day.
The turnout included the freshly MOT'd club car of the day - Si and Emma's Grey Mk3, and also good to see Darren's Chopped pickup again which was drawing a huge amount of attention! Not ones to be put off by a bit of rain, the club spirit stayed firm all day, whilst others drifted away in the damp.
More photos to come in the gallery and on the forums.

In our second year of attendance at the Haynes Mini Meet, West Country Minis walked away with the best club stand prize, having set the standard last year too! Proof again that you don't need to 'dress up' a stand in order to make a good impression - everyone had good clear access to the area, and lots of friendly faces to welcome them. For those who camped and endured the torrential rain and wind, and the main run up on the day, the sun shone as we set up and got down to some mini chat.
The event seemed to be a little lacking this year, maybe because of the mini Showdown at the Avon Park Raceway on the same date, but WCM always make the most of things and with such good company, its a winning formula!
Craig Barrett won the club car of the day as voted by members of the show, with the grey Cooper looking fantastic. Just one week to go now until the next club stand at Blaise Castle, and the masses will once again be out in force! Plenty of photos will be appearing in the gallery and discussion forums soon!

Another good turnout, more new members, and sunshine made this a typical evening for WCM!
The summer months really do bring out the cars and the spirit, so lets hope this can continue. This was the first meet that Claires mini Kay had made it to since rebuild, and looked fantastic alongside the others. More photos in the gallery - link at the top of this page.

With the 50th celebrations in full swing now, we were expecting good things from the festival at the Gaydon Heritage Motor Centre - and it certainly delivered. With two nights camping, and 14 minis out to play, WCM had what appeared to be the largest club display, and with some cunning work from Mark, probably the best stand pitch on the site.
The show was fairly packed, with a great display as always from Russ Swift to keep people entertained on the Sunday, and live bands on the Saturday night.
Check out the forums and gallery for more pictures, but here's a couple of pics to sum up the weekend! |

Bring on the sunshine! For the first time this year, we were able to have a meet out in the garden! The weather drew out a big crowd too. Morris the bear even enjoyed a drink in the evening heat! The next club meet will be on Thursday 9th July at the Rose & Crown, Pucklechurch. Feel free to join us from 7.30 for a drink and a chat.
For a full (and ever growing!) list of events and meets, please see the link to the left of this page.

A number of members ventured to Cornwall for some fun on the MiniWorld Riviera Run on the 2nd May. With a great turnout by club members, 17 minis and more than 30 members enjoyed the activities. On Sunday 3rd, the club met up at the Cornish Cyder Farm for a group photo:

This preceeded a club run down to Lands End. More photos are available in the Gallery and at the Forums. |
